I create ceramic bud vases and other vessels in both natural tones and more eclectic shades (like primary color sets and chartreuse, for example). Each vessel is completely unique from one to the next, so the consumer is truly getting a special, one of a kind piece. The vessels range from 1″ to 6″ in height. I really allow the clay to tell me what it wants to do, so instead of producing picture perfect vases, mine are curvy, unpredictable and organic in their forms. I’ve been told they resemble everything from chess pieces to flower petals. Each piece is thrown individually on the wheel, and then manipulated using just my fingers and a wet sponge.
