I make beads and other small glass items by melting and shaping glass over a torch.  This is called lampworking or flameworking.  Many of the glass pieces are then combined with sterling silver and semi-precious gems to make handmade jewelry, from simple earrings to elaborate, one-of-a-kind necklaces, but I also make small sculptures, vessels, Christmas ornaments, or household items such as cabinet pulls.
