La Pequeña is a project by Sara Collazo Romay, a Spanish-Dominican weaver. She started weaving after working in the fashion industry and seeing how damaging fast fashion is to our planet and culture. Sara makes considered woven textiles for daily use by slowing down and reconnecting with every step of the creative process: from designing, to making a warp, weaving and sewing each of her textiles by hand. La Pequeña’s focus is mostly with soft goods for the home – offering kitchen and hand towels, linen napkins, placemats, table runners, throw pillows, etc.
Sara uses ancient weaving techniques with a contemporary sensibility to create timeless and functional pieces that will elevate any space.
