Ray Bake

I make small-batch whole grain, vegan baked goods that are rich in nuts and sweetened primarily with maple syrup. My recipes are built around emphasizing the flavor of high-quality flours and nuts/seeds, which lend themselves to baked goods like chewy brownies and crumbly cookies rather than flaky pastry. I source as many ingredients as possible from local producers/growers with a focus on taste, freshness, nutritional density, and sustainable growing practices. My goal is always to make the best-tasting baked goods, but I also see baking as a lever to promote the styles of eating and growing that I think build a better world.
